Fax numbers are NOT being dialed correctly resulting in failed faxes

Your faxes are not being sent because the fax numbers are not being dialed correctly.


This is typically caused by numbers that need to include the area code for what is known as "Local Long Distance" dialing.  Dialing rules are configured within Windows "Phone and Modem Options" within Control Panel.  See the attached document to this article for more information on creating and configuring dialing rules. 

Important!  Configuring dialing rules are not included as part of free technical support by ASDS Computer Co.  If you would like assistance in configuring your dialing rules there is a per incident fee of $29.95.

NOTE:  In order to ensure your dialing rules will function once they are setup, your fax numbers in ACT! must be entered as TAPI Conical formatted.  This is where the area code will have parenthesis around it.  For example:  "(541) 555-1212"  For more information on the fax number formatting see the article that is referenced below.
