Situation

You have updated ACT! to 10.03 and when trying to make backups with AutoAdmin 2008 you receive a message in the log regarding missing files for "Xceed".

Solution

This indicates that your ACT! installation is missing the needed files to make an ACT! backup.  You can use the following steps to download the missing files and correct the problem.

IMPORTANT!  We provide the files located at the URL below as a courtesy to our customers.  For further help with using ACT! to make backups or other issues with ACT! you should contact Sage for assistance.

1.  Download the files to your desktop from here:  http://www.asdscomputer.com/tools/xceed/
2.  Go to START > RUN and type "C:\Windows\Assembly"
3.  Drag the three files you downloaded into the Windows\Assembly folder.

This should correct the issue and AutoAdmin 2008 should be making succesfull backups.  You should check the Log that is located within AutoAdmin 2008 to determine if the backups were succesfull.
