How to de-activate the license for AutoAdmin 2008 or 2010 in order to install on a different computer

Situation

You would like to move your install of AutoAdmin 2008 or 2010 to another computer and you need to first de-activate your software in order to re-activate it on the new computer.

Solution

Before you uninstall AutoAdmin 2008 or 2010 from your current computer, you will need to first de-activate the AutoAdmin 2008 or 2010 software.  To do this, use the following steps:

1. Open AutoAdmin 2008 or 2010.
2. Go to the Help menu and choose De-Activate Software.

Now you can install the AutoAdmin 2008 or 2010 software on the new computer and re-use the original serial number you were given and then you can activate the software online.
