Limited Access Rules Automation

 

Now that you have created your Limited Access rules, Auto Limited Access will start processing your rules immediately upon new data entry.

 

IMPORTANT:

For data that was entered previous to the installation of Auto Limited Access you will need to perform a "Run Now" to process the rules that you have created.
When changes have been made and a rule has been updated you WILL need to perform a Run Now in order for those changes to take effect.

 

From the "Limited Access Setup" screen, click the "Run Now" button as shown below

Upon pressing the "Run Now" button you will see the "Run Now" window appear as show below.

1.  Select the entity type to process:  Choose the entity type that matches the rules you want to process.

2.  Select the desired lookup:  Choose to use the "All Contacts" option or "Current Lookup" option.  ("Current Lookup" not available when run outside of ACT! via the ASDS Program menu)

3.  Select to create a log file:  Choose this option to have a log file produced that shows a log of all the processing data.

4.  Click Run Now to begin updating:  Choose the "Run Now" button to start the processing of your rules based on the entity type chosen in step 1 above.

 

Click the "Close" button when finished.
